Viton is characterized by its excellent temperature resistance, good flexibility and durability in aggressive environments. These properties make it ideal for applications where a high level of performance and strength are required, such as in the automotive industry, the aerospace industry, the chemical industry, the oil industry and in sealing applications in general.
It is used to make gaskets, seals, pulleys or packages, which require extraordinary resistance to extreme temperatures, and are subject to contact with any type of hydrocarbons, as well as to the elements, concentrated or diluted acids, and alkalis. A characteristic of VITON® is that it is fireproof, that is, it does not ignite when exposed to fire.
